White Sage - Smudging and Smoking
A form of spiritual and physical cleansing practiced by many indigenous groups, including Native American Indians and Australian Aborigines.
The cleansing entails burning certain herbs to a smouldering stage and then ritually fanning the smoke with a feather around a person or an area.
The act should be performed with good intent, clear thoughts and respect.
Sage: (from Latin Salvare - to heal) Drives out bad spirits, feelings or influences.
How to use:
Light the White Sage or Palo Santo at the end and burn for 20-30 seconds. Blow out and fan the smoke using your hand or a smudge feather.
